Fans of the Left 4 Dead series will be happy to hear that Valve are allegedly working on the third game in the series, with an expected release of 2017.
The series has long been quiet, with fans getting their last fill of a full release back in 2009. Valve are understandably silent on the subject, but other sources are giving information on the next supposed game.
According to a report in the news, Valve are already underway with the game, and the release will be during 2017. It also says that the main protagonists have been named, with a female lead; Katherine. However, all we have so far are names, and even they aren’t confirmed, as Valve is not giving any information on it.
We’ve also learnt that Turtle Rock, who worked on L4D before, won’t be working on this installment, and even said that it’s “Valve’s thing”
“It’s Valve’s thing now. We’ve kind of gone off in our own direction. So I’d kinda like to see something new being done with it, and Valve always does great stuff, but it’d be cool to go back to it as just a fan and not a developer.”, they gave in a statement.
It’s fair to assume that if it IS true, it’ll be fair to guess that the game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We’ll keep you informed as news pops up.
