Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a name that is either loved or hated. I for one love the turtles, and own every movie from the 90s and even own the latest installment by Michael Bay (that’s an argument for another day). When I heard Platinum Games was making a TMNT game, I was stoked. I loved what they did with Metal Gear Rising, and Bayonetta 2 was the only reason I have a WiiU, so of course I was excited as I love the Turtles and love Platinum Games.
So when a trailer and screenshots came out, I had to check it out, and I must say, it definitely looks like a Platinum Games game. The graphics are a version of cel-shaded, and I think they look perfect for a TMNT game.
Could this be the game the Turtles deserve? I can only hope!
The game described as: “The Heroes in a Half Shell are taking back the streets of New York, and they’re doing it with the kind of style that only PlatinumGames can deliver. In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael combine their unique skill sets to take on Bebop, Rocksteady, Shredder, and a posse of other iconic bosses.”
Players will be able to play on their own, switching between the turtles, or online with up to 3 others, when the game debuts this summer on the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Check out the announcement trailer below:
