Today, Playstation held a “Meeting.” Not only did they show off gameplay of some great upcoming games, but they also announced their HDR/4k gaming console, called the Playstation Pro. It has upgraded hardware, including a faster processor, better graphics, and support for 4k resolution. It is intended to be sold alongside the PS4, and not replace it.
Not only is it able to output 4k and HDR video, but it will come with a 1TB hard drive. “PS4 Pro is not intended to blur the lines between console generations. Instead, the vision is to take the PS4 experience to extraordinary new levels.”
The Pro releases November 10, 2016 and will be $399.
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Several people were disappointed with what Bioware showed at E3, as it was mostly just a dev’s journal. However, today, those people should not be disappointed. Bioware showed up, and showcased actual gameplay from Andromeda.
The gameplay has a Mass Effect feel, however, you see quite a bit new to the series. A jetpack was shown, as well as the new UI.
“Experience the freedom to traverse and explore a planet-dense but seamless open-world galaxy, rich with discovery. Play as the leader of a squad of military-trained explorers in an intense third-person shooter, with deep progression and customization systems. This is the story of humanity’s next chapter, and player choices throughout the game will ultimately determine our survival in the Andromeda galaxy.”
Still no set release date, but March is coming around the corner.
