Once again, Rogue’s Overwatch team places first in a major international tournament, winning the Grand Finals at APAC Premier in Shanghai. The victory was won over South Korea’s Lunatic-Hai, who the team dropped a couple of games to throughout the tournament. The European team rallied back, however, defeating the Koreans in a decisive 4-1 match and winning $75,000 USD.
This is the second 1st place finish for the young team, and some are making the argument that they are the best Overwatch team in the world. The international spotlight has been focused on Rogue (@GoingRogueGG) ever since they pulled off an upset victory over EnVyUs at ESL in August, even gaining the attention of DJ Steve Aoki, who is now a co-owner of the team. Rogue looks to continue their dominance at OGN Overwatch APEX this week in South Korea.
