2016 will be remembered for a lot of things, Trump winning president, DC trying to catch up to Marvel, but what it will be truly remembered for is the death of several celebrities, including David Bowie, Prince, Alan Rickman, among many others. However, today, the nerd culture took one of the biggest hits, as we have lost Carrie Fisher.
Fisher was best known for her role in Star Wars as the independent, strong, leader, Princess Leia. She beat out the likes of Amy Irving and Jodie Foster for the role, and would continue to be a part of Star Wars for nearly 40 years.
We give our condolences to her family, to her friends, and to all those that looked up to her, and smiled when Han told her “I Know.” She will always be remembered, and will live on through us all.
May you Rest In Peace Princess Leia.
